Committee reviewed the running report. Would like to see some more visible deliverables from the internship program–or visible work that the interns have done.

Had a prehearing conference with the office of administrative hearings.Talking with the Community Law Center about pro-bono representation
Committee discussed the benefits and downsides of continuing the appeal process, as well as the impact of new school board members on the appeal process.

-August 25th: Popsicle with the principal, sneak a peek at your seat- Event for families to welcome them to the school year and for students to meet their new teachers.
-Sept 2 and 28- Partnership with Lifebridge to bring the vaccine bus to the school for students missing vaccines.
-ESOL program- Partnership with Clay Pots to have an 8 week free ESOL class provided to parents. We had 12 slots available for the fall and ended up having a waitlist.
-Partnership with K.Music to bring music back as a resource. Students will learn to play the keyboard.
