Community Resource Fair Update
Workforce Committee would like to hold another community resource fair focusing on legal services, jobs, and training program
Planning on doing it in the spring, Richard Parker will be the Committee lead for the project, are going to follow up with Bon Secours as well as other partners to ask them to be involved. Lisa and Elizabeth will have a conversation with Terry to bring him up to speed.
Looking at an indoor-outdoor location like a school.
Ellen suggested looking at resources for extra funding, and also having services for people experiencing homelessness
–Roundtable recommendation is that employers not be at the event, but could plan a job fair for right after the event and have a calendar of events that could funnel people through—connect it with upcoming MOED, Bon Secours, UMB hiring events
Eric—could be a day that all the agencies have something going on—could be a resource day.
