Committee Reports and Updates

    • Governance Committee (Chuck)
      • At-Large Directors – were appointed for one year terms that will expire in November. The governance committee recommends a process to re-appoint them for a second one year term (if desired) or elect a replacement prior to the new Board being seated in November. The process entails:
        • Existing at-large members will indicate to the (Acting) Executive Director if they are interested in continuing in the role
          • If yes – The seven (currently six) neighborhood association representatives on the Board will decide whether or not to confirm existing at-large members in continuing in their role
        • If there are open slots–either because not all current at large members are interested in continuing or because the neighborhood association representatives do not re-appoint an existing member–the application and selection process established last year will be run again
  • Motion to accept the recommended process from The governance committee (Scott), Jane 2nd
  • None opposed – None Abstaining – All in favor –
      • Bylaws Amendment Recommendation

          • Current – Section 3.02.03 At-Large Directors:  A third category of members of the Board of Directors consists of At-Large Directors selected to represent the entire Southwest Partnership community area rather than specific neighborhood organizations. These directors will be nominated from the Partnership communities, applications will be reviewed, and candidates will be selected by the designated neighborhood organization Member Directors. Three directors will be selected each year to serve one year, renewable terms.
          • Proposed – Section 3.02.03 At-Large Directors:  A third category of members of the Board of Directors consists of At-Large Directors selected to represent the entire Southwest Partnership community area rather than specific neighborhood organizations. These directors will be nominated from the Partnership communities, applications will be reviewed, and candidates will be selected by the designated neighborhood organization Member Directors.
