Military connected community has access to a wide range of resources and it is frequently confusing and overwhelming. Built on the belief that veterans are an untapped resource and that there needs to be more than a ‘thank you for your service’.
Seek to serve the military connected community, community based organizations, and local corporate business entity. See themselves in the middle of this overlapping ecosystem.
Have recently moved into a physical space that will also be a convening hub.
Key program area is workforce development–want to be the convener for military connected personnel around workforce development in Baltimore and Maryland.
Goal is to make Baltimore and Maryland a destination of choice rather than a place that people end up in.
Would love to facilitate coordination between organizations working with veterans and military involved community. Planning to officially open the campus at Gaslight Square on Veteran’s Day. Can host veterans related events but can also be a venue.
