Guest Speaker: Kris Hoellen, B&O Railroad Museum 

  • Upcoming Exihibt – Connecting the Underground Railroad with the physical railroad and it’s stories
  • Will be showing three movies this year, free to public; Amistad, Harriet, & 12 Years a Slave – Dates TBD
  • Considering restoring the South Car Shop to open to public
  • Planning for 200th Anniversary
  • Large archive at B&O, looking to make that more accessible to the public, thinking about creating a sitting room where people could do their own research
  • Would be interested in finding grants, interns, and volunteer to digitize the archives
  • B&O could give committee a tour of archives

Amanda Talbott – SLYC

  • Collaborative of W Baltimore families to make sure children have everything they need
  • The only usable space at property is the basement, need to create more usable space, have applied for resources
  • Walking Wednesday – community members lead a tour with the kids through pieces of the neighborhood, looking for hosts
