Community School Program Updates
Been a noticeable change in the mood and spirit at Steuart Hill–a real difference for the staff. Last week were able to give away food baskets by partnering with the Southern District Police Department and the Bozman Foundation.
Also turkeys were distributed at Vivien T and Charles Carroll Barrister–also had Thanksgiving grocery bag giveaway to families.
Charles Carroll Barrister won Read A Thon–congratulations to both schools
Andrea has been assisting all of the schools with partnerships and programming development including roundtable discussions with all CSCs in the area
Youth Internship Program Update
Emil is very excited to get started–a great opportunity for the young people. Have students committed, worked out the schedule, as well as the core curriculum with room to adjust as needed, as well as the paperwork needed. Will be ready to roll out the program on the 11th. Still room for 3-4 more interns in the program.
Steuart Hill Update and Testimony Writing
Elizabeth gave a recap of the situation with the closing of Steuart Hill.
SWP office can be open tomorrow from 5:30-7:30 for folks who needed support submitting testimony. Mia from Sowebo ProAction has offered to put together a video with many voices speaking–would be available to come to the SWP office to support folks in submitting the testimony.
Steering Committee meetings tomorrow and December 13th 2:45 with representatives from the district–will be in person at the school.

Christmas Store will be December 11th from 12-4. Have to register in advance for a 15 minute timeslot. Poppleton Holiday Market–outdoor socially distanced event December 18th 10-12 at Excel Academy.
