SWP Board Meeting Minutes

  •  Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes (Scott)
      1. Motion to approve minutes from July (Jane), Melanie 2nd:  Gregg abstained, All others approve 
  • Governance Updates (Bill)
      1. Governance did not meet.
  • Director Report (Tony)
      1. Mixer is Saturday
        1. We have shirts for committee members –
        2. Could use help with setup – please arrive between 10-10:30
        3. We will have a short program, speed networking, free time, and food.
        4. There will be back to school giveaways upstairs also.
        5. We also have a chill space
        6. The committees will each have a one pager.
        7. Tony will cover the housing committee.
        8. Kelleigh and Serena volunteer
        9. Food is from the Franciscan Center
        10. SSFA is providing activities for youth
        11. 115 registered so far.
      2. Still searching for a property/ construction manager
      3. Will ask some board members to participate in the interview process
      4. Invite Marketing account to events to have them show up on the calendar
      5. Goldseker is due next week
      6. Poppleton hosting a housing fair the same day as the Pigtown Festival
      7. Discussed Charm City Cleanup projects – website – put in 311 requests
        1. Clean up dashboard
        2. Clean core
      8. Doors open Baltimore 10/25 – website
      9. Catonsville Rails to Trails – has requested SWP to sign on to their campaign for trail next to the new rail that will connect the two Marc lines together. MTA plans to build just the rail connector – CRTT wants to push for a multiuse trail to be included in the project and hopes that SWP will also support this.
        1. MTA – Penn/ Camden Connector (this is the section to be built)
        2. Catonsville Rails to Trails
      10. Pigtown is hosting a public safety walk tomorrow.
      11. Jane will help convene the fundraising work group/ committee
      12. Dan Morrison passed away.
      13. Ted Geitzel also recently passed.
